Rockie Mountain High

Wednesday (still)

Some 36 hours after I left Perth and it is still Wednesday.

After the long trip across the Pacific, the final leg of my trip to Calgary was only 90 minutes and as I had a window seat and it was daytime, I had a great view and look many pics of the Rockies. The mountains are quite spectacular with a number of rivers and lakes visible from time to time. The steep crags turn into rounder hills and finally a plain as you travel east.

Vicki was waiting at the airport and after visiting a number of places finally bought a SIM card for my phone. and 10 hours later it is still not working. In Singapore it was up and running before I left the shop. The guy at the store told me it was Bell that needed to fix it and the had done 90% of the process but skipped a step.

I was finally able to get money out of my account at an ATM after having trouble in the US and Singapore previously. I now know which account type to select and which Pin to use.

I did get a couple of hours nap this afternoon and woke up as Vicki returned from the airport with Robert, another house guest. He is from California and is speaking at the RG and going on the Road trip as well.

We went out for dinner after shopping tonight, where Vicki and I had cocktails called Stiff Lemonade.
